Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 16, 2026
VSL Print (Varick Street Litho, Inc.) wants everyone who visits vslprint.com to be able to use it, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.
Our Standard
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice for web accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We treat that target as ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox.
What We Have Done
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first item in the keyboard tab order on every page.
- Site navigation, links, buttons, and form fields can be reached and operated with a keyboard and show a visible focus indicator.
- Images carry text alternatives, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Every form field on our contact and quote forms has a programmatic label.
- Buttons and text are colored to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text.
- Pages declare their language, and embedded maps carry descriptive titles.
- We run automated accessibility tools and keyboard-only testing as we make changes, and we fix what those checks find.
Known Limitations
Automated tools catch only part of what matters, and some third-party content is outside our direct control. Areas we are still working on:
- Embedded Google Maps and video players may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Our address and hours are always available in text on the same page.
- Some portfolio and case-study images are photographs of printed work; their text alternatives describe the piece but cannot reproduce every printed word.
- Downloadable files such as templates and dielines may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible version on request.
- Some sections skip a heading level (for example, a card title marked as a fourth-level heading under a second-level section heading). Screen-reader users may notice uneven heading navigation; the reading order is otherwise correct.
- Some small controls, such as social-media icons and carousel dots, are smaller than the 24-by-24-pixel target size recommended in WCAG 2.2. We plan to enlarge them.
